Not a thing Annie
Hey - Happy Birthday John!
From the Saratoga Crew - do you know how much snow we got this week???? No surprise you say???
First of all, this is the first time I wrote a comment on a blog page and wrote all this up only to find I posted it to a message of yours in December. You get this twice.
Hi Anne..I hope you don't mind me writing but I just wanted to say how nice it was for you to send those hats to the Childrens' Hospital. I too am a knitaholic and even have gone so far as to start up a side business along with an Ebay store. I have been knitting for over 40 years now but have found my "true love" in felting. I haven't knitted myself a sweater since I found felting! I do accessories, both knitted and felted. The eyelash yarns are a b__ch to knit with but a lot of fun. This past week I decided to do a line of "denim" accessories. If you have used Knit Pick yarns they were done in the new Lake Ice Heather color. I also used Indigo fun fur on several of the purses and hats. Now I have to do the finishing on them which is not my favorite thing to do! I also knitted a mohair/wool blend hat that I will felt tonight. Boy are my shoulders killing me today! Also, my house is a mess! My husband is a saint! The only place I don't take my knitting with me is to work. I also machine knit some of my accessories to cut down on time/cost factors for selling. If you are ever hurting for a new pattern I would be happy to share some with you. I got a new hat book that has everything from beanies, skull caps, sherpas, berets and felted hats. I have tons of patterns! I can be reached at rebecca@montanaknitwit.com
P.S. I love telling my customers the following because felting is not an exact process.....
"Felting is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you are going to get" :)Hope Forrest doesn't mind me using that!
I read your article today in the Standard. I am a fellow Anacondan knitter/spinner. It is nice to read what others are doing.
